Integrated Communication Specialist at Absa CIB. She is empowered by the personal development that our organisation invests in, and is a beneficiary of the Absa Bursary Scheme.

Candy Guvi

Senior Investment Communications Specialist and Internal Coach. Originally from Zimbabwe, Candy holds a Master of Management Business Executive Coaching Degree from Wits Business School and says, “Absa is definitely a strong environment for professional growth.”

Gloria Ssali

Head of Learning Leadership and Talent in Uganda, Gloria facilitates learning activities, mentoring and turns issues into solutions; and says one can adapt with ease at Absa.

Maryanne Kagwe

Maryanne is the Events and Sponsorship Manager at Absa in Kenya who challenges herself to find exciting ways to connect with clients. She has been with Absa for 14 years, and she is inspired by her 10-year-old daughter.

Audrey Naidoo

A digital activist and influencer, who is also Head of Digital Marketing. Audrey wants women’s voices to be heard and acknowledge their worth. She loves keeping up with digital developments at large. She also has a podcast!

Nicara Young

A hip-hop and art lover, Nicara is the Group’s Digital Vice President and says Absa’s culture encourages creative thinking and empowers people to execute great ideas.

Angela Kilian

Angela looks after Comms and Colleague Engagement. She loves creating dramatic experiences for people and is inspired by people’s stories. She says, “your head knowledge becomes your heart knowledge.” Angela went on a world tour of Cats: The Musical – how interesting!

Meridian Varela

A Specialist Business Optimisation who’s been with Absa for 24 years; Meridian connects with people from various regions and successfully completes projects with them – even without meeting them in person. She has changed her role 5 times in the time she started with us!
