Africa-wide Recognition
Absa’s Top Employer status spans six certified markets across the continent: South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Botswana and Mauritius. Notably, this includes Mauritius achieving Top Employer certification for the first time and being named the number one Top Employer in Ghana.

Rising Top Employer Score
Progress is never static. Neither are we. Our Top Employer score has risen from 86.42% to 90.15%, reflecting measurable improvement across people practices. Across the Group, Absa achieved an overall score of 93.66%, up from 90.15% in 2025, well above the global benchmark of 85.9%.
All markets scored above 87%, with Absa Bank Botswana showing the largest year-on-year improvement at 5.53 percentage points. Ghana recorded the highest overall score at 97.38%, while Kenya and South Africa each improved by 4.94 points.
Absa Bank Zambia rose by more than 4 points, showcasing our relentless focus on people-first policies and processes.
The upward trajectory demonstrates a commitment to learning and evolving. It articulates how we hold ourselves to higher standards as expectations grow.
