The Absa Africa Financial Markets Index
Now in its second year, the Index facilitates meaningful debates about the maturity and accessibility of Africa’s financial markets, and records the openness to foreign investment of countries across the continent.
The Absa Africa Financial Markets Index (AAFMI) was produced by Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) in association with Absa Group, with the bank acting in an advisory capacity.
A premier indicator of the attractiveness of Africa's capital markets, for use by policy makers, investors and asset managers around the world, the Index has become the benchmark used by most African countries to self-reflect on the state of their financial markets and what developmental actions they need to take.
